Initiating the Peoples' Veto process: Paperwork has been filed already.

Collecting just over 55,000 signatures on petitions within 90 days of the enactment. Due on July 17, 2008.

Accomplishing this will put the question on the November 2008 ballot

Identify signature gathering opportunities:

• June 10th at the Primary Election.
• Remaining town meetings
• Summer gatherings and fairs
• List items here, post on events

We need to start collecting now and organizing by polling place, arranging for a table at the polls.

The referendum  petitions are available from our campaign and at pick-up sites in Portland, Lewiston, Belfast and Bangor.
